ANNIE PHILLIPS
ANNIE PHILLIPS is a dressage trainer, educator, and dedicated student and mentee of Kasey Perry-Glass, 2016 Olympic Bronze Medalist and 2018 World Equestrian Games Silver Medalist. Annieโs work is guided by the philosophy that dressage should truly be additive to the horseโs body, creating stronger, healthier, and happier athletes while promoting long-term soundness.
Holding a Bachelor of Science in Equine Studies and a Master of Education specializing in Athletics, Annie combines academic knowledge with practical experience to help horses and riders reach their potential through thoughtful training, biomechanics, and postural development. She places a strong emphasis on groundwork and building the strength required for true self-carriage, recognizing that movement quality is developed long before advanced work under saddle. That true collection and self-carriage are not created through restraint, but through posture, balance, and strength.
While her primary passion is dressage, Annie has developed a particular interest in postural rehabilitation and the development of performance horses, helping equine athletes overcome physical challenges and move with greater comfort, balance, and confidence. She believes every horse deserves an individualized approach and that meaningful progress comes from understanding the horse in front of you rather than relying on force, shortcuts, or rigid systems.
Known for her patient and compassionate teaching style, Annie helps riders develop a deeper understanding of their horses while fostering a joyful culture that encourages curiosity over judgement.
